Anaerobic-Aerobic Digestors (Gray Water)

This technology is a patented product by CSIR, operating predominantly with anaerobic-anoxic-aerobic combinations. Approved by the Suchitwa Mission, it is currently being installed across various industries, institutions, and hotels. Unlike traditional, heavily engineered waste water treatment processes that are energy-intensive, expensive, and produce considerable sludge, this technology consumes no power and generates bio-gas for auxiliary applications. It is specifically designed to address land constraints, seepage, and odour issues, making it ideal for urban-centered hotels and restaurants.

Constructed Wetlands

Constructed wetlands (reed-beds) offer a sustainable method to treat both light and high-intensity gray water. TDCC's most common process design utilizes a combination of dual filter beds paired with a final polishing tank. Our crucial design criteria involve selecting the correct filter beds based on incoming influent parameters, alongside careful selection of plant species, planting intensity, topsoil grading, and the addition of specific enzymes.

Tower Reed-Beds

Conventional reed-beds require significant land footprint (approx. 1 sq.m for a 20-30 lpd design). To resolve space constraints for urban industries, restaurants, and hotels, TDCC developed a Tower-based Reed-bed system. This system incorporates a settling tank, a coagulation provision, and a final polishing tank, making it optimal for urban and peri-urban areas producing light-intensity gray water.

Phyto-Reservoir (River/Stream Engineering)

Perennial freshwater streams and rivers frequently suffer from pollution due to municipal/panchayath wash and storm water runoff containing heavy metals, agricultural wash, and antibiotic suppressants. The "Phyto-Reservoir" method combines Phyto Barriers, Engineered Marshlands, and Natural Gradients to substantially reduce these pollutant concentrations.

🌬️

Floating Reed-Beds (Lake/Pond Rejuvenation)

Lakes and ponds often become non-potable due to underground seepage, intense storm water intrusion, municipal wash, and subsequent algal growth from lack of oxidation. To address water bodies that conventional methods cannot treat, we utilize floating constructed wetlands/reed-beds. The efficiency relies on carefully selecting specific reeds based on the water's pollutant concentration.

🌬️

Marsh/Sludge Digestors

Industries often struggle with marsh from prolonged effluent storage and sludge from STPs and ETPs, which can become septic based on pH levels and cannot easily be converted to manure. We utilize a calculated combination of sludge and marsh, pairing them with Vetiver plants aligned in different gradients to aid in the digestion of these materials.

🌬️

Phyto-Barriers

Following a 2-season study of incoming effluents, carefully selected reeds (in variety, species, and density) are placed into biodegradable supports to act as Phyto-barriers. The process is enhanced by mixing natural enzymes into the barrier holders and topsoil, which is further improved through siphoning or additional oxidation.

Phyto Trenches/ Phyto Gardens

This service integrates gray water treatment directly into landscaping without altering architectural designs. Gray water is collected via trenches and pipes, then filtered using a sand-phya combination to reach disposable standards. The treated water can then be repurposed for landscaping or directed to secondary fountains and aquariums, utilizing all available spaces from ground zero.
